George married Selma "Sally" Marie Bergstrom 13 Feb 1906. They moved a few times and homesteaded in all these places. George would hop the train to go to work and one day he fell and the train ran over his arm in Chester, Montana. He walked to the nearest home and died from blood loss. He passed away at the hospital in Havre. Sally was left with six small children so she moved back to Osakis and lived with a brother for a while in a tar paper house. She remarried and is buried at Valhalla Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
