Robert Lynn (Bobby) Watts, 52, died Wednesday, September 2, 1998 in the emergency room of the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born June 7, 1946 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Ruth Pauline Watts Bugg. He had been a former carrier for the Lexington Herald Leader and was a member of Southside Christian Church, where he was a member of the Spirit Lifters. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Kiwanis Club where he served as Sergeant at Arms. He was a member of Toastmaster's and a graduate of Mercer County High School. Survivors include: two aunts, Mrs. Mildred Taylor and Mrs. Mary K. Russell, both of Harrodsburg; one uncle, Allin Watts of Harrodsburg, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Duke Bugg. Funeral services were Saturday, September 5, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral home with Rev. Gary Powell and Rev. David Upchurch officiating. Burial was in the Berea Christian Church Cemetery.
