Mrs. Barbara Jean Bridge Friar, 73, of Cottageville, entered into rest Wednesday evening, March 17, 2021 at Colleton Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert Gordon Friar.

Born June 12, 1947 in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie Prue Bridge and Lottie Flake Bridge. She was a member of Maple Cane Baptist Church. She was a genuine friend and selfless person, always helping in anyway that she could. She loved everyone as her family. She enjoyed doing crafts and loved taking care of her cats.



Surviving are: her twin sister, Betty Joan Coker of Lexington; a special nephew, John Tracy and his wife Jackie, and their children, Kyle and Logan of Virginia; as well as many other nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Roberts, Howard Bridge, Frankie Bridge, Bernard Bridge, Maxie Bridge, Ronald Bridge and Donald Bridge.



Funeral services will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Maple Cane Baptist Church, 21324 Augusta Highway, Cottageville. Interment will follow in Ackerman Cemetery at Red Oak, Cottageville.
