Known as "Neil" to family and friends, he was the twin brother of Walter McKenna. His parents were Cornelius and Anita McKenna. His siblings in addition to Walter were Alice and Betty. Neil served in the United States Marine Corps. He lived primarily in Queens, NYC and in later life in Bay Shore, Long Island. He had four children with his ex-wife, Mary Lou Nersesian (Rusty, Mary Ann, Kathleen, and James) and one child with his second wife Jenny "Irene" McKenna (Neil, Jr.). His son Neil predeceased him. His grandchildren at the time of his death were Budd, Somer, Billy, Shanna, and Brittany. Nieces and nephews included Kevin, Walter, Patricia, Karen, Betsy and Eileen. After the Marine Corps, Neil worked with automobiles all of his life. He was the former owner of Wink Auto Collision in Queens, bought and sold cars, and in later life was still involved with cars as an auto adjuster for an insurance company.
