Mrs. Vestie Elizabeth Hayes Johnston, age 76, of North Wilkesboro, widow of Cecil Johnston died Monday, March 19, 2007 at Villages of Wilkes Skilled Care.
Entombment will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mrs. Johnston was born in Wilkes County, June 9, 1930, to Fred and Reatha Hendren Hayes. She was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Mrs. Johnston is preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Johnson and husband, Junior and Betty Parsons both of Wilkesboro; one son, Bob Johnson and wife, Tammie of Wilkesboro; one sister, Bertha Hayes of Wilkesboro; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild.
