Michael graduated from Muncie Central High School. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country. Following his military service, he worked for GM for 30 years until retirement. He loved watching the History channel and was an avid golfer. He was a member of the YMCA and went there all the time. Everyone there knew and loved him. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them how to swim.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Marian Teresa Sharp of Marion; children, Bryant Miller of Marion, Johnny (Sarah) Miller of Lafayette, Kimberly Miller of Marion, Vincent (Lisa) Miller of Fort Wayne, Keith Miller of Marion, and Nickole Hall; 15 grandchildren and a special granddaughter, Peja Hall; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy (Jerry) Hobbick of Gaston; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Lodie Butler; and brother-in-law, Henry Butler.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Michael's life will begin at 2:00 pm. Pastor C.L. Adams will be officiating with burial taking place at Estates of Serenity.
