Edward M. Vachet II, 77 of Vincennes passed away Saturday July 3, 2021 at the Willow Manor Nursing Center. Edd was born December 11, 1943 in Vincennes, IN the son of Edward M. and Laura Combs Vachet. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and attended I U and Oakland City College. He worked for many years at Haag and Peoples Drug Stores as manager. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Moose VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed doing Karaoke at various venues and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Carla Hartsburg.

Edd is survived by his daughter, Suzy Vachet and her husband Chris Edwards of Indianapolis, IN and his grandchildren, Catrien Egbert and Corwin Egbert. He is also survived by his sister, Laura Lea Fischer, and her husband Joseph of Murrieta, CA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday July 12, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. He will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:40 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home when the procession will proceed to Sacred Heart Church for the Mass of Christian Burial. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the donor's charity of choice. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist the Vachet family during their time of loss.
