Shirley Anita Kalinowski Kelly, 76, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at her home.
She was born November 2, 1934 in Rock Springs, Wyoming the daughter of Victor and Gertrude Elizabeth Bird Kalinowski.
Shirley married Joseph Thomas Kelly on May 25, 1956 in Raton, New Mexico.
She was a very active member of the Autumn Glow Senior Center in Kaysville, Utah. Shirley spoke multiple times in front of the Utah Legislature on behalf of senior citizen rights.
She loved puzzles, beading, needlepoint, poetry and music. Shirley always won blue ribbons at the County Fair with her crafts. She loved steam engines and trains.
Surviving are her son, Michael Thomas Kelly, Helena, MT; daughters, Trudi Kay Kelly, East Helena, MT; Kathleen Marie Kelly Goff, Layton; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sisters, Carol Leslie Kohler, Aztec, NM; Lila Eastman, Apple Valley, CA; and her dog and best buddy RJD, he was a Real Jim Dandy.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Patrick Joseph Kelly.
Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any Shriner''s Hospital.
