Jason Allen Armstrong
September 30, 1971 ~ July 1, 2021

Jason Armstrong, age 49 of Farwell, died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.

Jason Allen Armstrong, the son of Dennis and Judy (Flannigan) Armstrong, was born on September 30, 1971 in Alexandria, Minnesota. He grew up in the big town of Farwell, Minnesota where he found a love for many outdoor activities that kept him busy. Jason was baptized in Cyrus and later confirmed at the Farwell Lutheran Church. He attended elementary school in Lowry and high school in Glenwood, where he graduated with the Class of 1990.

Jason worked very hard and was always finding projects to keep him occupied. He was a welder by trade and worked construction through much of his younger years. He was united in marriage to Nicole Hurlbut on June 12, 1999 in Hoffman, Minnesota. They made their home in Farwell, where they welcomed their pride and joy, their four children, Kody, Bailey, Rylee, and Gavin.

Jason was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting every animal under the sun and loved spending his days out on the lake catching whatever was biting that day with his uncle Buzzard. Anyone who knew Jason knew he had the gift of gab - there was no such thing as a short phone call or a quick trip to a grocery store with him. Jason loved spending time with family, especially his children and two grandsons, Kamdyn and Kayven, who love their Papa. He will be dearly missed by every life he touched.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Flannigan Armstrong of Farwell; the mother of his children, Nicole Hurlbut Armstrong, of Starbuck, his children, Kody (McKenzie) Armstrong of Fergus Falls, Bailey Armstrong of Danvers, Rylee Armstrong of Starbuck, and Gavin Armstrong of Farwell; two grandsons, Kamdyn and Kayven Armstrong; his brothers, Troy (Ricky) Armstrong of Monticello, Scott Armstrong of Starbuck, and Trevor (Melissa) Armstrong of Farwell; other relatives and many friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Armstrong; infant brother, Dustin Armstrong, paternal and maternal grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services held on Thursday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Nora Lutheran Church in Kensington with Pastor Bev McNiell officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 7th from 5:00-7:00 at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Interment will be in the Farwell Cemetery in Farwell.

Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.
