Mrs. A. E. Sutton Laid To Rest
Word came to this city Sunday morning of the sudden death of Mrs. Andrew Sutton, at her home in Terre Haute, Ind. Our citizens were painfully surprised at the news as it was not generally known that Mrs. Sutton was in ill health. It seems she underwent two operations for an abscess from the effects of which she passed away. Her remains arrived in Oakland on the evening train Monday, and she was interred in Rosedale cemetery the same evening after brief but impressive services at the grave, by Rev. W. H. day and singing by the Presbyterian choir. A large concourse of relatives and sorrowing friends attended the last sad rites. Below is the obituary:

Obituary
Florence Edna Parker was born one mile north of Oakland on August 13, 1887. Died in Terre Haute June 5, 1910, aged 22 Years, 9 months, 22 days. She was married to Andrew E. Sutton on June 29, 1904. To this union were born three children Jeanette Alice, Imo Louise and Rexford Earle, all of whom survive. Besides the bereaved husband and children she leaves to mourn her loss one brother and three sisters and her father, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

She was converted and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in 1902. In her last sickness, she was very patient, telling the folks she was going to die and seeming reconciled to go.

Her last words spoken to her sister were "I am going sweetheart good bye."

"Darling sister how we miss you,
Hard the path your feet have trod,
But we hope your precious spirit
Is at last at home with God."
