Daisy A. Larimer, age 74 of Tazewell, VA passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Tazewell, VA. Born June 8, 1947 at Tazewell, VA she was a daughter of the late Charlie Frank Asbury and Dorothy June Bowling Asbury. She was of the Christian faith and lived it every day. Daisy was the most loving and caring person one would ever hope to meet. She enriched the lives of many and her loving character will always be remembered and appreciated. Daisy graduated from Tazewell High School, then began working at the old Jeffersonville Hospital and then many years at Tazewell Community Hospital. She always enjoyed shopping, especially QVC shopping and was well known for her love of solar bobbleheads. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Andrew "Andy" Larimer; her longtime companion of thirty years, Clinton Smith; sister, Mary Adkins; brothers, Johnny Lee Asbury and Charlie Joe Asbury; nephew, Michael Keith Hamm.
She is survived by her "Smith family" Jerry Smith and wife, Melett; granddaughter, Raquel to whom she was known as "NaNa"; special nephew, John H. "Trey" Boothe, III all of Tazewell, VA, and Sherri Lee Smith of Ft. Myers, FL; Daisy's sister, Cathy Hamm and husband, Mike of North Tazewell, VA; her brothers, Dan Asbury of Tazewell, VA, Mike Asbury and wife, Lynn, and Frankie Asbury and wife, Wanda all of Tazewell, VA; brothers and sisters in law, David and Lynne Larimer of Tazewell, VA, Sam and Betty Larimer of Barnesville, GA; Sam Atkins of Tazewell, VA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM with Pastor Danny Whitt officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, VA. Pallbearers are David Larimer, II., Andrew Larimer, Ty Larimer, Robert Atkins, Chris Asbury, and John "Trey" Boothe, III.
