Mary Lee (Roy) Dethrow, was born Sept 29, 1933 in Hoxie, AR to Ralph and Thelma (Hall) Roy, and departed this life on June 30th, 2021 at Shepherd's View Assisted Living in Alton, MO.

She was a graduate of Alton High School, taught grade school at Pine, owned several businesses, and retired from a lifetime of helping people, with her last job being a caregiver at Shepherds View at the age of 80. She was the go-to person in the family when something needed to be done. And many relatives and visitors stayed the night at Mary's house because she fed you well and took good care of you. She taught her children right from wrong, the importance of a good education and how to work for a living.

Survivors include her 4 children Mike Dethrow (Barbara), Brenda Ledgerwood (Keith), Jane Ward (Johnny), and Sheila Campbell (Ron). Grandchildren Michael Dethrow ( Susannah), Betsy AuBuchon (Richard), Patrick Ledgerwood (Tracy), Morgan Simerson, Scott Ward (Kelly), Makalah Boyer, Ronda Nakoa, Paula Woodside (Jim), Chad Campbell (Monica), James Burr (Joella), and Melia Wilson. 34 Great grandchildren Sheridan, Maddie, Shelby, Anna, Royce, Kaleb, Connor, Scarlett, Connor, Kinley, Quincy, Kennedi, Hunter, Kolby, Chaye, Kasey, Christian (Bailey), Jena, Zachary, Carson, Eli, Ali, Evan, Will, Grace, Tristan (Emilee), Kayleigh, Calvin, Logan, Oliver, Carly, Kylee, Ava and Reed. 7 Great- great grandchildren Kaden, Lilly, Alannah, Lexcee, Gabriel, Silas and Harlee. One brother James Roy (Tootsie), and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents Ralph and Thelma (Hall) Roy, her sister Ina (Roy) Bell and Floyd, Ray Dethrow Jr. (father of her children) the Dethrow in-laws Ray Sr, Vie, Myles and Beulah, Dale and Norma Jean, Jean and Ruben.

Services will be Saturday, July 3rd , 2 pm at Cotton Creek Church with Bro. Edward Casey officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery at Cotton Creek. Mary's wish was that any donations be made to the Cotton Creek Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 525, Alton MO 65606
