Dwayne Hinkie

Dwayne "Dee" Hinkie passed away on Wednesday, September 9 in North Charleston, South Carolina. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. Dee was a Technical Manager at the WestRock paper mill in Evadale, Texas, until his recent move to the Atlanta area to work for WestRock's corporate office. He was intensely dedicated and hard-working and worked in paper manufacturing throughout his career. In his free time, he loved golfing, traveling, and being outdoors. Dee is survived by his wife, Arlene Clark Hinkie of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Camri Ann Hinkie and her husband, Collin Couey, of Austin, Texas; sisters, Marsha Hinkie DuBois and her husband, Steve, of Williamston, South Carolina; Kay Hinkie Wright and her husband, Bill, of Silsbee; brother, Pat Hinkie and his wife, Donna, of Silsbee; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty and J.B. Hinkie and his brother, Jay Hinkie.

A gathering of Mr. Hinkie's family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his memorial service to at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A private family burial of Mr. Hinkie's cremated body will follow.
