Janet Elaine Berkey, 82, of Windber, formerly of Somerset, passed away peacefully at home on June 27, 2021. She is a daughter of the late Charles and Oleta (Ling) Sechler. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Berkey; daughter, Lori Berkey; brother, Richard Sechler; and sister, Jane Vaughin. Janet is survived by her children, Janice Pile (fiancé, Louis Custer Jr.) and Scott (Renee) Berkey. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jason Harbaugh and Christopher Pile; two great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Sechler; sister, Ann Dwyer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 10 am until the time of service at 2 pm, at MILLER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY of Somerset.
