Donna Fern (Lamca) Cashman, 81, Jacksonville, Fla., died Tuesday at Community Hospice of Jacksonville. She was born in Altoona, daughter of George and Helen Lamca. She married Daniel E. Cashman Aug. 10, 1945, in Altoona.

Surviving are her children: Marjorie A. Shore and husband, Jerry, of State College, William E. Cashman and wife, Cathy, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Susan R. Means and husband, John, of Wilson, Va.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Rowles and husband, James, of Altoona. She was preceded in death by her husband July 21, 2003.

Fern was a member of First Grace Brethren Church. She was a housewife and mother. She was a 1943 graduate of Altoona High School. She enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers, reading and sewing.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at the funeral home with Pastor George Townsend officiating. Interment will be held at Holsinger Cemetery, Bakers Summit.
