She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Herman Son's Lodge Dunlay, Woodman of the World, Ladies Auxiliary VFW. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Boenig, by parents and stepfather Bernard Ehlinger, by sisters, brothers, and sons-in-law Mark Allen Aguilar, and Roger Lockhart, special friend Amos Hitzfelder.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara Lockhart, Sharon Aguilar, Leanna (John) Steuber. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, former sons-in-law Ricky Byrd and George Pruitt, large extended family, and lots of dear friends
