Tomahawk - Carol J. Pietenpol, age 79, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI. Carol was born in Sheboygan, WI, on February 13, 1942, to the late Melvin and Clara (Tenpas) Zeeveld. She was married to the love of her life, Neil Pietenpol, on October 13, 1962; he survives
Carol was a 1960 graduate of the Sheboygan Falls High School. After graduation, she entered the workforce beginning employment at Bob's Lunch and later the Borden Dairy Company. She then worked at Bemis Manufacturing as a machine operator, retiring at age 62. Carol and Neil moved to the Tomahawk area where she found great peace in her surroundings. She enjoyed sitting on her porch on Lake Alice taking in the nature, and loved flowers, gardening, and reading books. Above all, Carol cherished time with her family, her furry companion, Gunner, and her many friendships she formed within the community and church. She was a faithful member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, Neil Pietenpol; her son, Brad (Julie) Pietenpol; her daughter-in-law, Colleen Pietenpol; her brother, John Zeeveld; her sister, Marge (Ron) Cook; and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Risseeuw. Carol is further survived by her granddaughters, Kendra Pietenpol and Angela Pietenpol.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Clara; her son, Brian Pietenpol; her brother, Paul Zeeveld; her brother-in-law, Lamont Risseeuw; and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Zeeveld.
Memorial services for Carol Pietenpol will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 12 Noon, at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 12 Noon. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 9, at the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls, WI, at 3:00 PM. A meal will follow.
