Ruby Pogue, 97, pioneer of the Lancaster and DeSoto area.

She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.

Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Ashley, and son, Gerald.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruby Nell Moore, daughter in law, Junell Pogue, grandchildren, Mark and Becky Moore, Marsha Walker, Debbie and Terry Robinson, special granddaughter, Sissy Keeling, great grandchildren, Tricia and Jeremy Morgan, Marianne and Keith Burris, Gerald Robinson, great great grandson, Conner Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the West/Hurtt Funeral Home with Charles Roundtree officiating.

Interment will follow at Rawlins Cemetery in Lancaster.
