Hazel Maitland
Hazel Maitland of Gresham died Thursday in a Portland care center of causes related to age. She was 96. At her request, no service will be held. Interment will be in Portland Memorial Mausoleum.
Mrs. Maitland was born Nov. 28, 1895, in Rockford, Iowa. She moved to the Tacoma area as a young girl. She moved to Gresham in 1942. She married Charles F. Maitland in Vancouver, Wash., in 1947 [sic]. Mr. Maitland died in 1980.
Survivors include her son, Robert Kelchner of Portland, and brother, Raymond Greenleaf of Tacoma. niece, Hazel Tucker of Bremerton, Wash.; and nephew, Lee Stewart of Everett, Wash.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to Belmont Terrace in Portland.
