Son of Moses and Anna (Williams) Cook, he was a member of the Kehow Tribe of the Red Men. He was married to Mildred C Parsons on August 18, 1934 at Rennselaer, New York; they divorced in 1939 and were the parents of Donald, Eleanor and Edward. Eleanor and Edward were victims of the 1944 circus fire at Hartford, Connecticut. He died at the Veterans' Hospital at Newington following a lengthy illness. He was survived by his mother Mrs. Charles Hamlin, his son Donald, sister Helen and brother Harry.
