Jack Vanderburg, 88, went home to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021.

Jack was born on March 4th, 1933 in Concord, NC to the late John Francis and Etta Susan Vanderburg.

He was preceded in death by (5) brothers and (2) sisters and a grandson; Chance Coggin.

He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, Wingate College and NC State University with a degree in Economics & Agricultural Education. Following graduation, he served in the US Army in the 714th Tank Battalion. After his Honorable Discharge, Jack worked for Ralston Purina for 37 years in Sales and Marketing.

Jack was a man of deep faith throughout his lifetime. He was an active member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church for over 50 years. Jack served as Moderator, Deacon and on various other church related committees.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Sue, of 60 years; son John Vanderburg of Concord, NC; daughter's Beth (Bobby) Coggin of Trinity, NC and Julie Overstreet of Owensboro, KY. He was blessed with (4) surviving grandchildren; Hannah and Colton Overstreet; Tommy and Steven Vanderburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and step-sister Mary Ann Black.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, Baptist Children's Home of Thomasville, NC or Beacon Place of Greensboro, NC

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11am at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church in Pleasant Garden. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, Baptist Children's Home of Thomasville, NC or Beacon Place of Greensboro, NC
