SHREVEPORT, LA - Services honoring the life of Paul Edward McKee, 86, will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 1:30 pm, at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Clarence Chism. Interment will follow in Providence Road Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 12, 2007, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Mr McKee was born August 17, 1921 to John Francis and Ethel Swagart McKee In Connersville, IN. He passed away November 10, 2007, in Shreveport, LA, following a brief illness.

Mr. McKee served in the Army Air Corps, in the European Theater, during WWII, where he cooked at Allied Headquarters for the officers and troops. He retired after 35 years from McCrory's as a manager. Paul earned the name of "Pie Master", because of his wonderful pastry. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. To his family, he was known as a man that adored his wife of 59 years, Pauline Austin McKee and a loving father and grandfather. He will, forever, be loved and missed.

Preceding Mr. McKee in death were his parents, three brothers and one sister. Survivors are his loving wife, Pauline; daughters Paula Saubert and husband, Mike, of Erie, CO and, Paulette Cross and husband, Mike, of Santa Fe, NM; sister, June Oesterlei of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, John Saubert and wife, Kerri of Valdosta, GA, Kevin and Kyle Cross of Albuquerque, NM, and Andrea Saubert of Arlington, TX; great-grandchildren, Mikhael Howard, Katelyn Greenway and Griffin Saubert.

Grandchildren and nephews will serve as pallbearers and, honorary pallbearer will be David Leach.
