Du Wayne was born on December 20, 1943 to Lawrence and Clara (Herding) Bach in Breckenridge MN. Du Wayne moved to Milwaukee in January 1967 at the age of 23. He was united in marriage to the love of his life Alice (Gross) on October 26, 1968 at Divine Mercy formerly known as St. John's Catholic Church in South Milwaukee where he continued to practice his faith throughout his life in WI. Du Wayne was a dedicated foundry worker to Appleton Electric for 46 years until retirement in July of 2013.
Du Wayne's smile was infectious and that twinkle in his eye could light up any room. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and loved spending time on his property up north. Du Wayne had a passion for hunting and fishing and would take every opportunity to enjoy that with his family. He loved sharing stories about growing up in MN and his hunting and fishing trips with everyone.
Survivors include his wife Alice (Gross) of 52 years, his four children Dawn (Mike) Dane, Beverly (Lance) Malicki, Lorie (Howard) Ceder and Louis (Jane) Bach, his five grandchildren Christopher (Hailey) Malicki, Samantha McKnight (Nathan Jozefowski), Nicholas Malicki, Autumn Bach and Kevin Dane, nine great grandchildren , Christian, Hannah, Carlie, Charleigh, Evelyn, Kaitlyn, Kaylee, Jocelynn and Nicoli, his sister Marlene Lehman, brothers Gary (Debbie) Bach and Ron (Lona) Bach and brother-in-laws Russel Gross, Neil Westberg and Ray Rosenthal and sister-in-law Rosie Heller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Du Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Clara (Herding). Father-in laws Fredrick Gross, Otto Herald and Mother-in-law Caroline Gross. Brother- in-laws Paulie Lehman, Fritz, Marvin and Willard Heller. Sister-in-laws Jean Gross, Angie and Virgina Heller, Ellen Rosenthal and Willma Westberg.
Interment at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
