Family/Friends/Loved Ones: It's with a heavy heart that I share that our mother, Betty Bowles (BJ) went home to be with the Lord (May 09. 2021) while in Maryland with her sisters for her nephew's wedding. She was where she wanted to be and doing what she wanted to do. If you knew her, then you know there was no arguing with her on that.

She led an extraordinary life. Full of family, children, friends and most importantly love. Despite pain and the COVID pandemic, her last years were spent filled with visitations by friends and family, special memories made with her boyfriend Raymond, wishes coming true, reconnecting with loved ones, new journeys, and the teachings of the bible.

Our family would like to thank everyone who loved her and made her life special and enjoyable.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Doy E. Miller and Maxine Miller; husband, Edward Bowles; children, Kevin Miller, Danny Bowles, and Kathy Bowles.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Destony Bowles of Athens, Debbie Frey of Winston- Salem, Michael Miller of Princeton, Roger Miller of Rockhill, Cody Bowles of Union, SC; Steven Bowles of Kannapolis, NC; siblings, Cathy Mowry of Manhattan, KS, Louise Lewis of Easley, SC, Larry Miller of Holley Ridge, NC, Grover Miller of Leeds, Utah; several grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
