Geraldine Gertrude Schuller, the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude (Viola) Schuller, was born on July 10, 1930 in Faribault. She attended Warsaw Country School and later graduated from Faribault High School. On October 26, 1948, she was united in marriage to Roger F. Schema at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. They were blessed with three children, Cheryl, Roger and Michael. Roger recently preceded her in death on July 29, 2012. Gerry was a self -taught accordion player. She enjoyed playing at neighborhood events and other special occasions growing up. She played music by ear and never had to look at written music. Gerry also enjoyed playing the organ and keyboard too. In their early years, Gerry and Roger loved going to old time dances with friends and later in life enjoyed their time together fishing and boating on Roberds Lake. Over the years, Gerry enjoyed raising their children and helping Roger on the farm west of Faribault on Highway 60 for 42 years, which is now operated by their two sons, Roger and Michael. She was a devoted wife and an exceptional mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her three children, Cheryl (Willard) Peterson of Owatonna, Roger A. (Kimberly) Schema of West Concord and Michael (Susan) Schema of Faribault; her two grandchildren, Brenda (Christoph) Bednar of Owatonna and John Schema of Faribault; her three great grandchildren, Julian, Mattise and Chloe Bednar of Owatonna and by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Donald Schuller and by her husband, Roger.
