"Earl B. Capron, age 97, of Trumbull, died peacefully at his residence on Sunday, November 12, 2006 surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgeport on November 19, 1908, he was a son of the late Isaac and Lillian Capron and was a retired purchasing agent for Sikorsky Aircraft. Earl had a great love and passion for music and along with his Dixieland Band they performed for President Ronald Reagan at the White House in 1981. He took great pride in his instrumental work for the revival of Dixieland music and the formation of the Connecticut Jazz Society. He had a great love for family and was an inspiration to all, and he will be sadly missed. He was pre-deceased by his 1st. wife Lorraine Elizabeth Marmelstein Vallancourt Capron, who died on August 26, 1979 in Trumbull."

We did find Ancestry info. on 1st. Wife, Lorraine Elizabeth Marmelstein Vallancort of Merilane Ave in Stratford, age 9 in the 1920 Census. She was born in New York, January 24, 1911, married 25 November, 1937 in Stratford to Earl Breese Capron, she was 29, Earl was 32. Lillian's mother's name is listed as Irene S. Clough b. October 1887, lived in Vernon, Tolland Co., CT, d. April 4, 1973 in Trumbull, CT. Lorraine's father was George Daggart Marmelstein , b. 1876, who died June 7, 1919 in NYC. She graduated from Syracuse University in 1933 and got married on Nov.25, 1937 in Stratford.))
"Survivors included his four children, Earl (Skip) W. Capron and his wife, Anita of Hammond, LA., Michael Head and his wife, Ursula of Springboro, OH, Deborah Corwel and her husband, Michael of Oxford, Louise Keyser and her husband, Robert of Palm City, FL, a sister Virginia Dale Capron of Trumbull, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Survivors also included his beloved 2nd. wife, Penelope (Penny) Keel Capron, b. 1942: d.2021, md. 1980, he was 72, she was 38.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. "
