Mr. Kohler was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lillian Bell Kohler.
He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the V.A. Hospital after 30 years of service. Mr. Kohler was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are close friends, Claudine J. McCormick, Nancy Kessler, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Sweet, all of Roanoke; and Sandra Peters, Stewartsville. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Emory N. Tarpley Sr. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel.
