Linda enjoyed a career in real estate and was active in all aspects of the real estate market. She received the first license as a certified real estate appraiser. After receiving the first real estate degree awarded from Northeast Community College, she later taught the same courses at the college to upcoming realtors. Linda was a member of DeKalb Association of Realtors and was instrumental in developing a relationship between the Realtors and the DeKalb Foster Children Association. She was named Realtor of the Year several times.
Active in her community, she was a member of the Rotary Club and a former board member of the Fort Payne Zoning Board. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer. Linda was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Payne.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Van Horn and Dr. Pat McFadden officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the DeKalb County Association of Realtors, Attn: Foster Children, P.O. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wayne Woods; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Jeannie Woods; and grandchildren, Blake and Katie Beth Woods.
