Funeral services were held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home for Billy Lee Aucoin, 84, who passed away on October 8, 2019. Burial followed at Istre Cemetery.
Billy was born in Crowley, LA on December 8, 1934 to Abra Joseph Aucoin and Mary Ella Mier. He was a truck driver, a job which he loved. He loved the outdoors, fishing, teaching his grandchildren how to fish, and have crawfish boils. Most of all, Billy loved spending time with all of his family and making memories. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was survived by his three daughters, one sister, two brothers, seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Billy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Murleen Aucoin; his granddaughter, Tasha Anne Aucoin; two brothers, Gene Aucoin and Burt Aucoin; and his parents, Abra and Mary.
