Violet Davidson, 92, of Watertown passed away peaceful on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the Jenkins Living Center.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Fiksdal Funeral Chapel in Webster. Pastor Mike DeKraai will officiate. Burial will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 5-7 P.M. and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.

Violet Elaine Gramberg was born October 10, 1928, at home in Butler, SD. She was born in the house of her great grandfather Johann (JD) Gramberg. Her great uncle Earnest Gramberg and JD's son operated a farm and her father Martin Gramberg worked on the farm. Later the family moved to Ortley. Violet married Clarence Davidson on March 27, 1949, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Waubay, SD. After their marriage they made their home and farmed the Gramberg family farm south of Ortley. In 1954 they moved to Milbank where she was a waitress in the JC Penny's restaurant and a homemaker. In 1987 they moved to Waubay into her parents' home.
Violet was very active at the Waubay Community Center. In 2002 they moved to Watertown, SD, where Violet was active in the Watertown Senior Activities Center. December of 2020 she was admitted to the Jenkins Living Center where she spent her last days.

Violet was an avid picture taker at family gatherings capturing all the special moments year after year. Her favorite music was the old timers, Charlie Pride, Patsy Kline and a few others.
She liked dancing to polka music when she was still able.

She is survived by four nieces, four nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, an infant sister, brother Clarence Gramberg, Sister Phyllis Stromseth, Nephew Randy Stromseth, Nephew Kelly Gramberg and great niece Becky Erickson.
