For four years he served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers in Germany and the United States. Later, he worked as a Civil Engineer and a Senior Construction Project Manager. His employers included GLY Construction, ERA Living and Boeing. He was also interested in family history and was a story teller with a witty humor. Survivors included his wife, two children, two grandchildren, one brother and one sister.
