Funeral service will be held at Branch Methodist Church, Branch, for Gladys "Sissy" Jeffers, 94, who died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at 5 a.m. at her residence.
The family requests visiting hours be observed at Gossen Funeral Home Inc., Rayne, until service. Interment in Branch Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne.
Survivors include her children, Ouida Jeffers Merritt, of Rayne, Hazel Jeffers Courts, of Vidor, Texas, Lloyd Jeffers and wife Faye, of Rayne, Bernice Boyd Jeffers and wife Deanna, of Baton Rouge, Frank Jeffers and wife Irama, of Branch, and Carlis Jeffers Cummings and husband Tim, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and a brother, Robert Hayes, of Branch.
Preceded in death by her husband, Percy Polk Jeffers; grandchild, Montgomery "Monty" Harman; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Branch Hayes; and brothers and sisters, Preston Hayes, Lillie Hayes Jeffers, Overton, Carrie, Howard, Warner, Leland and Myrtle Hayes.
