PORT ALLEGANY - Albert S. Mathewson of North Brooklynside passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Roswell Park in Buffalo, N.Y.
Born on June 18, 1955, he was the son of Francis and Catherine Acre Mathewson. On May 13, 1973, he married Linda Micucci, in Pasadena, Md.
Albert was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and attained the rank of corporal and served during the Vietnam Era. He was a builder by trade and was employed by many different building companies over the years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, having cookouts, metal detecting, and hunting and fishing in his earlier years. He especially enjoyed his sports card collection.
Surviving including his wife, is one son Albert "Al" (Krystal Hamilton) Mathewson of Eldred; two daughters, Catherine (Jeff Cotter) Mathewson of Roulette, and Tina Young of Bradford; and 9 grandchildren, Timothy, Alex, Kate (Devin Wesley) Mathewson, Aaron, Destanie (Earl Knight) Mathewson, Issiah, Jerimiah, Sylis, and Ezra M.; 1 great-grandson Owen Wesley; and one on the way Deegan Eric Whelpley; and one sister, Alice (Steve) Bennett of Duke Center.
Preceding him in death, are one brother, Francis J. Mathewson, and one sister Leona J. Nestor.
