Venancio Trujillo, age 79, a lifetime resident of Las Tusas, NM passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at his home.

He was born on February 23, 1942 to Alberto Trujillo and Lucianita Trujillo in Sapello, NM.

Venancio was a Mayordomo at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Church in Sapello, member of the Carpenters Union for 25 Years.

Venancio was one of the founding members of the Sapello Rough Riders Rodeo Club.

Venancio enjoyed watching his Grandchildren play sports and enjoyed spending time with his Family and his many friends. He was an avid horseman and enjoyed hunting, venturing as far as Alaska to hunt Caribou.

Venancio was also a hardcore Raider Fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Victoria Trujillo; brothers: Abenicio Trujillo and Daniel Trujillo. Sister: Elvira Sena; son-in-law: David Gallegos.

Venancio is survived by his children: Mark Trujillo (Charlene) of Manuelitas, NM, Natalie Gallegos of Las Tusas, NM, Evelyn Trujillo (Mike) of Las Vegas, NM and Daryl Trujillo (Darlene) of Las Vegas, NM; Grandchildren: Nicole (Peter), Mia (Michael), Derek (Anna), Shannon, Amber (Amorette), Brandon (Hannah), Michael, Kaitlin, Lauren and Jerome; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sisters: Avelina Montoya (Manuel) of Lakewood, CO and Rufina Ortega of Las Tusas, NM; brother: Rudolfo Trujillo of San Leandro, CA; brother's-in-law: John Mascarenas of San Ignacio, NM and Gilbert Mascarenas (JoAnn) of Brighton, CO; sister-in-law: Ellen Vigil of Denver, CO; numerous: nieces, nephews, god children, other relatives and many friends.

Rosary service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 7:00PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Due to Covid 19 Masks must be worn and social distancing is required.

Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 2:00PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father Rob Yaksich as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe Cemetery in Sapello, NM.
