The Macon County, Tenn., native was born Jan. 10, 1918. She was a retired nurse, retiring after 28 1/2 years at the Monroe County Medical Center, and a member of the Beautiful Home Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Hayden Turner and Lora Ferguson Turner and the wife of the late Irvin Bedford Copass. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Hazel Rebecca Copass; and two brothers, Paul Turner and Foy Turner.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Wayne Copass and his wife, Barbara, of Tompkinsville and William Ronnie Copass and his wife, Marcia, of Alvaton; two sisters, Geneva Cropper of Gamaliel and Faye West of Lafayette, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Bradley Copass, Aaron Copass, Amy Fugate and Lori Beth Copass; four great grandchildren, Kaylee Beth Copass, Andrew Hatcher, Megan Copass and Kelsea Copass; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Beautiful Home Cemetery.
