Joyce Marie Snyder passed away on June 6, 2021 at Dignity Care Home with daughters by her side.

Joyce Marie Barton was born on September 21, 1933 in Lucas, Kansas to Dwight and Elva Haesemeyer Barton. She attended school in Lucas and Sylvan Grove graduating from Lucas High School in 1951.

Joyce was united in marriage to Duane Snyder on March 1, 1951in Lucas. Duane had been drafted by the US Army and was headed for Korea. They later moved to Ellsworth, Kansas where they lived until moving to Salina, Kansas in 1967. They raised three daughters.

She devoted her adult life to her family and being a homemaker. She was a member of a ladies Pinochle club in Ellsworth.
Joyce and Duane enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Salina Twirlers. They also enjoyed playing cards with other couples.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years; parents; brothers George and Keith and sister Carole. She is survived by three daughters, Vicky Waterman (Scott) of Assaria, Kansas, Jeanne Knak (Glenn), Donna Zey (Rick) of Salina; five grand children, David, Andrew and Kevin Knak, Lauren Bonci, Robyn Lynn; three great grand children, Nicholas A. Bonci II, Konnor Lynn, Kolby Lynn; and sister Neola O'Neal.
