OBITUARY-TAYLORVILLE DAILY BREEZE
MON. APRIL 23, 1928

ELZA G. MASON
EDINBURG, APRIL 22-Elza Garrison Mason, 79, well known resident of this community, died last night at St. John's Sanitarium.
Deceased was born in Boone county, Kentucky, a son of William and Sarah Moore Mason, Feb. 7, 1849. He removed to Southfork Twp., when a boy and spent the rest of his life in and near this community. For a number of years he resided with his niece, Mrs. Ida Seaton, in this city. He was the last member of his family and there are no immediate survivors.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Universalist Church, three and one-half miles southeast of this city. Rev. R. D. Crammer officiating.
Interment will be made in the Universalist cemetery, adjoining the church.

He was married to Miss Julia Gruber of Taylorville on February 5, 1894 in Edinburg. He was father to Elmer Mason, who changed his name to Elmer Gruber.
