Mary Evelyn Keister, 89, of Pontiac, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 8:26 a.m. at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunny Slope Cemetery in Saunemin with Rev. Jane Bradford officiating. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
Mary was born October 6, 1931, in Pontiac, IL to Thomas L. and Evelyn (Ziller) Spafford.
She is survived by her children: H. Dean (Annette) Keister of Benton, IL and Sheryl (Sam) Shane of Bonfield, IL; granddaughter: Kristen (Brian) Hailey of Houston, TX; siblings: Charles Dennis (Leah) Spafford of Fairbury, IL; James (Mary) Spafford of California; and Douglas Sherr of Arizona; and good friends: Becky and Jeff Bertrand of Pontiac, IL and Marianne Arnolts of Pontiac, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sibling: Thomas Robert Spafford.
Mary graduated from Pontiac Township High School and was a Lithographer for Regnier America Printing Co. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pontiac and the Order of the Eastern Star.
