Memorial services for Iva Bell Willis of Girard were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Assembly of God in Spur with the Rev. Bob Wright, pastor, officiating.
Interment was made in Spur Cemetery, under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Willis, 83, was claimed by death at 11 p.m. last Wednesday in West Texas Hospital in Lubbock after a prolonged illness.

She was the mother of Mrs. A.R. (Doris) Marley of McAdoo.

The former Iva Bell Taylor was born Nov. 28, 1898 in Erath County. She had resided most of her life in Dickens and Kent Counties.

She and John E. Willis were married March 7, 1915 in Dickens. Mrs. Willis preceded his wife in death on Aug. 5, 1967.

A housewife, Mrs. Willis was a member of the Assembly of God.

Survivors include one son, Floyd Willis of Girard; three daughters, Tempie Arnold of Clovis, NM, Doris Marley of McAdoo and Erma Key of Seminole; one brother, R.P. Taylor of Wylie; three sisters, Sally Bilberry of Lubbock, Louise Offield of Littlefield and Bonnie Barnett of Arizona; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

A son, Clifford Willis, preceded his mother in death Oct. 9, 1973.
