Daisy Rebecca Outlaw Day, born on December 21, 1916 to Hammitt Diggs Outlaw and Daisy Rebecca Young Outlaw in Jacksonville, FL, died November 8th, 2007. Daisy attended Sumter County Schools and graduated Webster High School in January 1937. She made her home in Ft. Pierce, FL with her husband, Earl Day. Retired December 31, 1979 from the City of Ft. Pierce after 22 yrs. of service, where she began as a steno-clerk and worked her way up tp Personnel Director.
Preceded in death by her parents, Hammitt Diggs and Daisy Rebecca Outlaw; husband, Earl Ransom Day; sister, Myrtle Iley; sister, Bernice Worn; and twin brother, Hammitt Diggs Outlaw, Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Evalena Burnett, Orlando, FL; brother, John W. Outlaw, Inverness, FL; and brother, Robert Outlaw, Center Hill, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Ms. Day are to be held Sunday, November 11, 2007, with visitation at 1:00 p.m. and service at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Linden, with the Rev. Eric Anderson officiating. Interment to follow in Linden Cemetery, Linden, FL.
