OBITUARIES
RALPH V. KOENIG
Ralph V. Koenig was born Mar. 20, 1916, in Keya Paha County, Nebraska, to Joseph and Grace Simons Koenig and died December 5, 1980, at his home in Green River, Wyo.
He received his education in Keya Paha County.
He was married to Minnie Anderson, march 20, 1939, at Broken Bow, Nebraska.
He was inducted in the U. S. Navy Jan 27, 1944, and served with the Seabees in the South Pacific, receiving his discharge on Dec. 30, 1945.
Ralph returned to Rock County where they operated a cafe until 1952. They moved to Riverton, Wyo. and he learned the electrical trade and received his Master Electrician rating at Green River, Wyo. in 1972 and he has since made his home there after retirment.
He renjoyed the outdoors and particularly hunting and fishing. His membership in the First Baptist Church of Green River was very meaningful to him.
He was preceded in death by his wife Minnie, Oct. 29, 1974, a stepson, a brother Forrest and his parents.
He is survived by six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, three brothers, Joe and Doran, Bassett; Tine, Springview; four sisters, Mrs. R. J. (Ruby) McCulley, Grace Cosgrove, Bassett; Mrs. Barbara Coleman, Miles City, Mont.; Alta Welty, Dubois, Wyo. and other relatives.
Services were held Dec. 11 at Hoch Funeral Home, Bassett, with Pastor John Jones officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Dave Swanson and Stanley Larson. Pallbearers were Frank and Cecil McCullough, Mike Riley, Virgle Vetter, Rolland Litz and Ed Larsen. Interment was in Bassett Memorial Park.
