Jardine Comyn, Lord of Inverallochy, also known as Jordan, was a son of William Comyn, Lord of Badenoch later the Earl of Buchan and was granted the lands of Inverallochy from his father upon William becoming the Earl of Buchan, jure uxoris of his second wife Margaret, Countess of Buchan.

Descendants of this line received the lands of Inverallochy in a charter from James III in 1477 (according to Sir Robert Douglas) and became the ancestors of the Cummings of Cutler

Sir William Cumming of these lands of Inverallochy was Lord Lyon King of Arms to James IV, and conveyed the Flodden challenge to Henry VIII.

The Cumming Baronets of Culter were a branch of Inverallochy
