Barbara Elaine West passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021. She was born December 31, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of Herbert and Thelma (Harper) Lowe both of whom have preceded her in death.
Barbara was heavily involved in many churches over the years which molded her into a very giving woman. She was a very affectionate and caring woman often times taking care of families in the church who have suffered a loss in their own families. Barbara never wanted any credit from anyone for her service to the lord and her community, she just picked up and moved on to the next people who needed help. In her free time she enjoyed taking care of her home and her lawn to make things look nice.
Barbara is survived by her son Herbert West (Patricia Redden); grandchildren Brandon Spillers, Nicholas West, Joshua West; great grandchildren Daphne West and Macie West. She is also survived by Patricia West and Myrna Short.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Donald Lee West; son Steven West and daughter Tresa West.
Barbara's visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 10-12 PM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery at 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216. Barbaras funeral ceremony will immediately follow at 12 PM
