A graveside service for Jimmie L. Brossette, 77, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jeff Warren.

Jimmie was born on July 20, 1943 and passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at Christus Highland Hospital.

He was a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School and Northwestern State University. He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity, where he developed many life-long friends. He was a member of the Krewe of Centaur for 15 years and served as Duke of Fantasy in 1998. During his time with the Krewe many special relationships were formed. Mr. Brossette retired from Southern Components after 28 successful years. In retirement he enjoyed traveling to New Orleans and Grand Isle with special friends. He also enjoyed LSU football and baseball games as well as tailgating with friends.

Mr. Brossette is preceded in death by his father, Doby L. Brossette, grandparents, Jack and Arlie Porter Brossette and Curtis and Minnie Rainer.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Carol Brossette; mother, Frances R. Brossette; son, David E. Brossette; granddaughters, Jessica Hayes and Sarah Brossette; grandsons, Caleb Brossette and Jacob Brossette; and great-grandchildren, Allison, Haylee and Madden.
