Daniel Dilts, 50, died Saturday(Oct.7, 2006)at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1955 to Robert Dilts and Joan Weaver in Newton. They proceeded him in death. He married Patsy Brown in Hesston on May 19, 1984. She survives of the home.
Dan was a farmer and a stockman and also worked as a machinist at Agco in Hesston. Dan greatly enjoyed spending time on his farm and with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, geology and rock hunting. Dan had a special place in his heart for his beloved state of Alaska.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Jessie Dilts of Hesston; a brother Jim Dilts of Wichita; a sister, Chris Knighton of Wichita; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home.
Vigil service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Mainzer officiating.
Burial will be in the Hesston Cememtery.
Memorials have been established with the Jessie Dilts Education Fund and St. Mary's Catholic School, both in care of the funeral home.
