She graduated from Wellesley College in 1926, and married Alfred (Al) Hauser on Dec. 24, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. They had three children who lied to adulthood. After Al's death, she married Dr. Claus Jordan, who died in 1995.
She lived in Short Hills, NJ and was active in several groups there, helping to start the Short Hills Public Library, and develop the Hartshorn Arboretum. She also started a natural history museum at the Pocono Lake Preserve in Tobyhanna Township, Pennsylvania.
