Merrill was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Civil Service. He volunteered a lot of his time helping other Disabled American Veterans. He is preceded in death by wife, Ruby; two sons, Donnie Lee and Quintin Lee; parents; brothers; and sisters.
God saw that he was tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around him and whispered "Come Home with Me." With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.
Merrill is survived by wife, Marcy; daughters, Marylyn (Shane), Deborah and Mary; son, Merrill Jr.; grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Carrie, Michael, Heather and Amanda; great-granddaughters, KyLeigh and Kaylee; sisters-in-law, Gladys and Pearl. Thanks to friends, Bob, Marlene, Denver, Kaye, Bob, Faye, Barb and Annetta, who were constant angels of support throughout his illness.
