J. M. Cartledge Passes Away At Kilmichael Miss. –

Jim M. Cartledge, age 66, died at his home in Kilmichael, Thursday, June 29th. He was born and reared in Montgomery County and was one of the county's most successful farmers. He was known to all who came in contact with him as a Christian gentleman. He was a member of the Bethsaida Baptist church.

Funeral services were conducted at the Kilmichael Baptist church by his former pastor, Rev. J. W. Eidson of Crystal Springs, Miss. Interment was made in the Kilmichael cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Lelia Cartledge, three daughters, Mrs. Mable Pullen, of Indianola, Mrs. Mollie Whinery of Kilmichael and Mrs. Alice Townsend of French Camp; four brothers, John L. Cartledge of Kilmichael, Drew. M. Cartledge, of French Camp; Evans Cartledge of Deasonville, and Reginald Cartledge of Winona and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Ward of Kilmichael and Mrs. Barbara Yelvington of Winona.

Funeral arrangements were made by Winona Undertaking Company.
