Helen Christine Huddleston Howell, 83, went home to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and her loved ones on Sunday, June 1, 2014. She loved her family, but Jesus was the top priority in her life; family was second and church was third. Helen was a member of Zion Grove Church of God of Prophecy for over fifty years. She was active in her church and worked as long as her health permitted.
Helen was born in the little Delta place called Macel, Miss., on Aug. 19, 1930, to Alva Huddleston and Emma Hand Huddleston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Howell; one daughter, Paula Eakin; three sisters and three brothers.
Helen leaves behind her two precious sons, Larry Howell and his wife, Chrissie, and Marty Howell and his wife, Diane; six grandchildren; 11 great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; three great-great-granddaughters; three great-great-grandsons; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held at Zion Grove Church of God of Prophecy from 1 until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with burial following in Smith Cemetery.
