First wife- Estella Butler in 1899. She died 1912 in Springdale, Washington.

In 1920 census he and his children were listed with his brother, Louis, in Idaho.

Second wife- Blanche "Oldham"Grigsby (1888-1970) second marriage for both. Her first husband died in 1920. Found listed with Lacey on the 1930 census in Garfield County, Washington. She was noted on the Oregon Death index for his death in 1940.

LACEY-- March 28, John Calvin, late of 4627 SE 96th, husband of Blanche; father of Marva Middleton, Mabel Dye, Vera Casey, Boyd and Mark Lacey; brother of Bertha and May Henshaw and Louis Lacey. Friends invited to attend funeral services, Saturday, 4 p.m. in Drawing Room Chapel of Holman & Lutz, NE 14th and Sandy.

The police last night were asked to look for John C. Lacey, 51, who was reported missing from the US hotel since Friday. His son, Boyd Lacey, Hayden lake, told the police he and his father had returned to Spokane from Wenatchee, where they had picked apples. They went to eat at the St. Regis Cafe, Riverside and Bernard, Friday. and, while there the father left the place. He has not been seen since. The man wise described as: Five feet six, 154 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes, dressed in brown suit, white shirt and new felt hat."
